National Constitution Day Event

September 17, 2014

Address

Chicago, IL

Join us for our annual celebration of National Constitution Day.

This year's event features guest speaker Matthew Lippman, Emeritus Professor in the UIC Department of Criminology, Law, and Justice. Dr. Lippman's address, "The Hidden Constitution: National Security, Electronic Surveillance and Privacy in the Age of Terror," will touch on the continuing debate regarding privacy and government surveillance. The lecture will run from 12:00-1:00 in SCE 302.
Come early or stay late and register to vote, to sign-up as an election judge or poll-watcher and also learn about internships and volunteer opportunities with many community and civic organizations.

This event is free and open to all!  If special accommodations are required, please call 312-996-3105 or email swhitake@uic.edu.

If you cannot attend, please visit the Illinois State Board of Elections website to find information about online voter registration and other important election-related topics. Please note that the deadline to register in the November 4th general election is October 7th. Information about early, grace period, and absentee voting can be found by clicking here.

If you are not an Illinois resident, Rock the Vote  is the largest non-profit and non-partisan organization in the United States to disseminate information on voter registration to college and university students.
