Congratulations to Petia Kostadinova and Alexandra Filindra

Petia Kostadinova and Alexandra Filindra, along with Prof. R. Daniel Keleman from Rutgers University, were recently awarded a prestigious grant from the European Union Studies Association (EUSA). The grant (for $10,000) is to hold an academic workshop on the topic of migration to/within the European Union.

This is in addition to the grant they received from the European Union Center at UIUC. They now have the necessary funds to organize a significant workshop. They plan to publish the papers from the workshop in an edited volume or a special issue of a journal.

The European Union Studies Association is the premier professional association for the study of the EU, and they are the only recipients of this type of grant. The competition was intense.

The Workshop, titledĀ Fortress Europe or E Pluribus Unum? : Multilevel governance andĀ the governance of migration and asylum in the EU, is now accepting proposals. Click Here for more information.
