Overview

A big part of your job as a TA is often grading some kind of assessment, whether it be low, mid, or high-stakes assignments. That’s why this workshop is designed to give you the essential grading principles you need, plus plenty of practice and guidance on providing constructive feedback to your students. We'll also cover strategies for boosting your students' success with tips on grading effectively, showing empathy, and setting clear expectations.

EVENT FORMAT: This workshop is an on-campus, in-person event.

Inclusivity & Accessibility Information: CATE is committed to making events as accessible as possible. In-person events typically involve a combination of presentation and discussion-based activities. We welcome ASL interpreters, note-takers, and accompanying assistants to in-person CATE events. The TEB is wheelchair accessible with an elevator to the second floor space. The TEB space is equipped with fixed-height tables that are moveable and can be reconfigured.
