SUMMARY:LAS Faculty Research Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a dynamic, day-long interdisciplinary symposium at UIC as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This public event will bring together the scholarship, creativity, and teaching of our faculty and graduate students, alongside distinguished historians, legal scholars, and political theorists from across the field. Throughout the day, we will explore vital questions about the nation and the state of Illinois?who is included, how these identities have been shaped, and how the meaning of freedom has evolved since the eighteenth century. In addition to panel discussions and presentations, the symposium will feature interactive opportunities for students, community members, and attendees to actively engage with the themes of the day and contribute their own perspectives. Register to attend and learn more about our exciting speaker lineup by going to the event page. | Event post: https://pols.uic.edu/events?page_id=4884
