About
I am a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Research Currently in Progress
I study the environmental politics of deforestation control, with a focus on the Brazilian Amazon. My research explores the impact of public policies and how local governments and communities respond to these interventions. I also investigate the distributive politics of these local dynamics, assessing its winners and losers.
I recently gave a talk at the Brazilian Political Science Association's V North Regional Seminar, titled 'Winners and Losers of Deforestation Control in the Legal Amazon: Limits of Collective Action.' It is available in Portuguese at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=822vuzo3u6Y&ab_channel=ABCP
