Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we are doing. New TAs can get overwhelmed with life and schedules & self-care can get overlooked. Participants in this workshop will be introduced to mindfulness principles & practices. Tools such as meditation, breathwork, self-care & journaling will be incorporated. Participants will gain skills that can be integrated into daily life and help to destress.
EVENT FORMAT: This workshop is an on-campus, in-person event.
EVENT FACILITATOR: Mandy Vukits, MPH, MS, PhD Candidate, Kinesiology & Nutrition, avukit2@uic.edu
Inclusivity & Accessibility Information: CATE is committed to making events as accessible as possible.
