Sanjida Bary is a first-year Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Prior to joining UIC, she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in International Relations from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her current research interests include political parties, Congress, think tanks, agenda setting, lobbying, forced migration, criminal politics, and human rights. Before beginning her Ph.D. studies, Sanjida completed an internship with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and later worked on a project funded by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Sanjida is a recipient of the University Fellowship from the University of Illinois Chicago awarded to support her current studies at UIC.
